Walking There (Post 7)
Asher let out a whoop and slung his arm around his new lunch-mate his chipped black nail polish contrasting harshly with the white of the button up shirt.
Asher dragged Fai to the large glass door at the end of the hall, “This exit is the fastest out to the street.”
Asher lazily lifted his arm off the other boy’s shoulders causing Fai to immediately look less like a riled cat. In a graceful motion he slipped his backpack off and started digging in the pockets. Throwing random papers to the ground he pulled out an MP3 player and stuck one ear-bud in turning it on.
They walked to sonic Asher happy and humming, Fai dragging his feet thinking of ways to get out of it now that they were away from school. Before either of them realised it they where at Sonic. Asher having gotten sick of the slow walk, the shorter boy had been determined to keep, gracefully swooped behind Fai and pushed him to a menu/speaker.
Asher immediately pushed the button and a few sec later a scratchy voice came on “Welcome to Sonic may I take your order?”
“I’ll have a Sonic Burger extra rare, chili cheese fries, large tots, large cherry lime-aid, and an Oreo blast.”
The scratchy voice came on again and repeated the order tagging on a ‘anything else?’ at the end.
Asher looked about to list more food when Fai cut in “A large Pineapple shake.”
“Your total comes out to $25.30, thank you.”
Asher sat down at one of the umbrellaed tables and started to play with the holes in the table.
